About Marieke Brown
Originally from the bonnie shores of Scotland, she came to the Riviera Maya in 2005 for scuba diving, and to explore the underwater cave systems. The plan was to stay here for a couple of months, to enjoy the area, and to explore some of the most incredible cave systems in the world. Marieke fell in love with the Riviera Maya and the people, and made my permanent home in the village of Akumal, where she lives with her husband and their children. The quality of life that we have here is extremely high, and she feels blessed every day to be able to raise her children in such a beautiful and multicultural place.
She have been working in property rentals and now real estate for over 8 years, and have an in-depth knowledge of the local area, and also the ins and outs of being an expat living in Mexico, and owning property here.
